Comment: I am looking to purchase a TV tuner card. Could those you have experience with these please offer me some recommendations... I am looking to purchase the best card I can find to mainly: 1. capture images/videos from my digital cable service (yes, I already have the cable hardware for that) 2. potentially use with my video equipment (cameras, camcorders, etc) I really am looking for the card that is going to give me the best picture quality. Also, could you recommend top-notch capture programs that I should look into. Thanks...

Reply: (edit)Since I don't care for ATI, my recommendation is an nvidia cinema video card here's a link for evga (I have a 32M version of this that works great)http://www.evga.com/products/prod_list.asp?switch=1&family=GeForce+MX+4000+Family A lot of people use Pinnacle software. I have Adobe Premiere and Roxio. I use roxio to capture, and Adobe to edit. XP software actually captures fairly well too, but the editing software is a little on the low side. I did install an ATI TV card onto my neice's comp for college, and it does seems to work well.
