im building a new computer...im planning on getting the Abit NF7 MOBO and a 2500+ Barton. im planning on oc'ing the 2500+ to 3200+ most likely. i need a really quiet heatsink/fan and one capable of keeping it coooool....
thanks in advance...price is not a factor

Either buy the retail version & use the stock HSF, or buy the mobile version (unlocked) & have a look at newegg.com...

Or if money is no object, get the SLK900A & buy your choice of fan to mount on it:

There is no turning back, now that you've woken up the demon in me...

Dude, I don't know what you're trying to say. I supplied 4 possibilities...5 if you count the retail HSF. If you care to check the overclocking forum, there are dozens upon dozens of posts about running the 2500+ Barton as 3200+...& good number of them accomplish it with the retail HSF.
Also, the Barton desktop CPU is locked...I've seen it called "super locked" because there is no way to unlock it. The mobile Barton on the other hand, is unlocked & doesn't cost much more than the desktop version. If you really wanna overclock, the extra money for the mobile version is well worth it.
There is no turning back, now that you've woken up the demon in me...
