Hi, I want to use a SATA hard drive and two IDE optical drives on my new rig. What is the best configuration, in terms of primary channels and master/slave settings? Thank you very much!

Your Sata drive should be plugged in your #1 Sata port on your MB.Your 2 optical drives can be configured as master and slave (jumpers) and put on the same cable into your primay IDE connection on your MB.
In your Bios set your Sata drive so as to appear as your primary Ide drive. Probably in Integrated Pheriphals (sp).Hope this helps.
