hello, one of my brother's computer keep crashing. and i do not have any spare ram for testing. i was wondering is there any ram diagnostic software i can use to test out the ram and see which one is faulty? i had use two memory testing software before but that's taking way too long.

Are you sure it's a RAM problem? If you have 2 sticks or more, try them one at a time. As for memory diagnostics software, do a search for CTSPD...or SiSoft SANDRA.

I've used GoldMemory Tester in the past, and it has worked well. Go to download.com and search for "goldmemory".
Depending on the speed of your computer, these tests may take a long time. Memory testing is done every time the computer boots (as part of POST), but the memory testing programs are designed to be MUCH more thorough.
They pinpoint the problem areas. But in your case, ANY problem areas are disaster.
Keep in mind, there is a high liklihood that the RAM is just fine....
