Try to stay away from Epson!! They have great resolution BUT they swallow the ink up and you cannot refill them yourself because of a date chip on their cartritges They will give you GREAT pics But get out your wallet I hear Lexmark has some pretty decent ones out there? The best thing to do is check at your local store/

I beg to differ on the Epson. I used to use Lexmark only, cost to replace cartridges ran around $75, then I bought an Epson Photo 1280 Large format. Very impressed with it. I do photo prints for a living and photo transfers. The ink goes 3 times as far as the Lexmark and cost less than $50 to replace both. Stay away from Generic inks, I have tried them and they stink, no true colors at all. Hope this helps in your decision.

Get a cheap personal laser printer if you dont need color. I have a lexmark i got for about $100. and the toner cartridge has lasted about a year so far and i print alot.
