Well im my town we were having local computer shows of which you could purchase anything you wanted to build computers. Well these shows have ceased because of lack of enough revenue being generated. I used to buy all my computer stuff there and now I have to look elsewhere. Most local computer shops are expensive compared to the show prices so I am looking for best places online to order parts. Now I am in need of a computer case to build a new system. I am looking for a full tower with atleast a 400 watt powersupply. Anyone have suggestions on best places to look online? Thanks.

The problem with buying cases online is the shipping costs involved...then there's the potential for damage along the way. You might be better off shopping around locally...you'll have to price them & see which is the better option. If you're only looking at a few dollars more, buy locally & save yourself the possible hassle of returns.

AxionTech has one of the best selections of cases around. I have bought from them before. Reputable company.

Thumbs Up for Newegg. And TigerDirect is good too.
Regarding online vs. local stores, not just for computer-related items, but just shopping in general:
I find better prices, better selection, and better service online. That's partly because of where I live, partly because of low quality retail empoyees, and partly because of outrageous prices at local shops. And shipping is often less than sales tax at a physical store.
Happy shopping,
Bob

Already knew newegg and tigerdirect and compusa and pricewatch. Thanks for all inputs though.

IF you are not looking for anything too fancy, as in just a basic case with no window in the side, or internal illumination, do what I did. I just drive around campus until I found a sutible one in a dumpster. It is a mid-tower ATX case that I have, and I have no idea who made it, as there are no manufacturing labels on it. I would reccomend buying a power supply though. The one in the case I found was only a 200 watt, so I bought a 300 watt power supply. The rest of the computer was in the dumpster all taken apart, and I did salvage some components from it such as the NIC, the CPU, and 8 MB of EDO RAM. I was also lucky enough to find all screws except for 4 of them, but I solved that by just going to VGH, and getting a couple dozen case screws. (there is no such thing as having too many case screws. They come in very handy for securing extra-add on components.)
