Can anyone advise as to which is the best Graphics driver version for a Hercules 3D Prophet TI500 64mb? I am currently using NVIDIA version 44.03, but I'm wondering if an earlier version might be better.

Personally I think that the best driver out is the newest driver from NVIDIA 45.23. I have a Geforce 4 though and run two directx 9 required games. So i think that is by far the best Directx9 driver available. But the best roll back (archived) driver i think would generally be the 40.72 driver.

Version 45.23 is out..and is the best. Newer drivers usually give you faster FPS.
