Comment: Hi I was looking to upgrade my cpu, I currently have a 466 celeron (370 socket). My board says I can get a up 2 a celeron 1100 or a pentium 850. I use my computer alot for video capture and editing at the moment. What would be the best cpu for performance? cheers Ive Got no fu#$ing Idea!

Reply: (edit)You need to concern yourself with the size of the cache on the processor chip you buy ie; L1 and L2 cache as well as clock speed. The bigger the cache the better. Hope this helps.

Reply: (edit)You will have a hard time finding a cpu to fit your socket so i would sujest buying a new board and CPU, also if your mem is SD ram you will have to get an older board or replace your mem too, also you've got to consider the video too if its onboard then you have to look for a board with onboard video or get a new video card, AGP would be better also i sujest an AMD CPU and Radeon Graphics.
