ATI should be good, it's cheaper and performs as well or better than Nvidia chips.
But one CON is that ATI don't come out with new drivers/patches as quick...

for that price range, you can get an almost top of the line card. The GF4 Ti4400 and above and the Radeon 9500 are all superior cards that are in that range.
Personally, im an Nvidia Man. Driver updates are really frequent, and you can find a wide range of manufacturers.

What are you going to be doing? Gaming? Video editing? Do you NEED the 128 for what you'r doing? If you go with 128 on a Ti4200, you'r going to lose a little speen compared to the 64meg card. Just a tip.

Exacley, Doom 3 will use more than 64MB. ALL the new generation games will be using 80mb atleast so what is the point of saying your gonna lost out by getting the 128mb card its slower wow by nothing. In 6months time the 64mb geforce4 ti4200 with be useless.

The Ti4200 outperforms 90% of the video cards currently on the market. Turnover in video cards is pretty rapid, but that's just a little far fetched...
FYI, my OC'd Ti4200 DOES outperform a default Ti4600.
