Well, I have the Asus 6800GT 250MB, have used is since it came out and up to now no probs no-matter what game I throw at it even with max settings.

My main use is for CAD and Video Editing and the same the same goes for that too.

The 6800's have dropped slightly in price since the release of the 7800's, so you might get a bargin.

"to be pants" - what does that mean???

MSI is good and will stand behind thier products. Have a MSI vid card cranking for about a year so far -12 -16 hrs a day hard work (gaming <heh>).

1. you must have a PSU capable of handling the extra load of a high end video card

2. your CPU is too weak for the 6800GT or Ultra
