Gaming and TFT/LCD… not the best choice.

The refresh rate for is way to slow for me at 8ms on that sony. This will cause video choppiness when there is a lot of action on the screen, or when turning quickly.

The pixel Pitch on a TFT is real bad at .294 on the one you are looking at compared to a .20 on a nice CRT.

Personally for gaming I would go with a Samsung CRT model 997MB. Great pixel pitch and resolution.

But being that you are asking about a LCD. I would recommend the LG 19" Flat-Panel LCD Monitor Model: L1970HR-BF. All of the same stuff as the Sony you mentioned except it has a 2ms refresh rate. (not sure of the cost.)
