Open the USB key using a screw driver. You will notice 4 pins at the front (the bit that plugs into your pc) one or more pins will have come away from the circuit board, either plug in the usb key and hold down the four pins, for as long as it takes for you to backup your data. OR solder them down.

Note only attempt this is you are confortablw with electronics, otherwise you could cause more damage.

Else take it to a shop.

Throw it out, buy a new out. 8GB USB jumpdrives are about $10 these days.
