Specs: Windows XP, core 2 / 2gb
have a Asus P5VD2-VM motherboard with LGA775 SOCKET intel core 2 CPU. I am getting on boot 1 long beep & 2 short beeps.

I can't find the beep code for this motherboard, I'm thinking it could have something to do with graphics card or adapter, not sure which one, help would be appreicated

Beep codes can be found here;

You are correct that the code you have has to do with the video card.

Hi Capt,
thanks for getting back to me, this is my husband's computer and he just said it has unexpectedly turned off then rebooted a few times recently, so could this be a motherboard problem or do you think it is definitely a video card problem.
That link you gave me was great thank you, you can find things easily when you know where to look. PCGuide says it might be either, but more likely the video card.
Your opinion would be appreciated.
thanks again.
