Comment:

I just put together my computer and it doesn't boot. I suspect that it may be because I have bad RAM, but is there any way to check other than plugging it into an already working setup or getting new RAM?

does it give out a series of beeps. sometimes you can tell what the fault is from the beep sequence. if you have make & model of motherboard you may be able to use google.com to search (search by make & the words beep code)

`Usually' you will get beeps for bad memory or a defective video card.

http://bioscentral.com has most of the codes.
