Bad Graphics Card

I have a computer with a bad integrated graphics card. I am trying to install a new pci card, but I can not see the bios screen to disable the on board card. Any suggestions? TIA P.S. is on a HP Pavillion 513n with a TriGem 2002052 (Glendale) motherboard.
It may simply auto-disable when a card is detected. But you *may* have to change the "Initial display first" setting from onboard to PCI. How are you viewing the BIOS screen...with the onboard or the card?

It will not auto detect. I have verified that the Pci card is working. I am unable to see anything...that is the major problem. Can't get the Pci card to detect and can not see the bios to change it. Also I did discover something a moment ago. I tested my PS and it reads ok on everything except -5. Would that have any effect?
