Backup solution needed

I'm looking for a simple and inexpensive backup solution for a remote location. They have just over a gigabyte of data that needs to be backed up regularly (at least weekly if not daily). I'm sure the amount of data to be backed up will grow over time. These user's do not have an on-site tech and are not very computer savvy. They're okay, but as simple a solution as possible is what is needed. I'm looking for something that would hang off of a PC, maybe via USB? There are no servers over there, just about six PC's all running Windows 2000 Professional. The data to be backed up is on a single PC. Any ideas?
I know this problem well! For simplicity - i.e. scheduled backups/removable media etc. I'd still recommend an old style HP tape drive - they now come in USB form or you can get adapters for older drives. Customer just needs to remember to insert tape at beginning of each day and remove at end of day. I've had problems with CD/DVD writers because I haven't found a reliable foolproof scheduling system & rotating 5 or 7 tapes to cover a week's backups seems a lot easier for the non-computer savvy.
I agree with johnr, you stated in your post that the users aren't very computer savvy and the easiest most reliable is going to be the tapes. They can just chuck-em in and rip-em out.
