Hi i want to burn an avi file 700mb to dvd so it will play in my dvd player now how do i go about this? i need a freeware convertor does anybody have a link? i have nero 5.5 and sonic my dvd that will both burn dvds what is my best option? thanks in advance, will nero be able to convert it?

Not all Standalone DVD players will play Divx.
Hi there get a freeware program called TMPGEnc to convert the avi to a DVD or VCD use the wizards that are built in, and then use Nero to burn it. You can use nero to encode to DVD as well but you need to get the plugin, most people who encode video belive TMPGEnc is the best freeware encoder around so id use that instead of nero.
