Comment: I have a onboard audio RealTek Ac97 Audio with latest drivers. When I plug the sound in I only get sound off of one speaker. I checked my audio settings and everything is set correctly (meaning the equalizer is not moved to the left to play only one speaker) The speaker system is good because I tested it on another machine and it works correctly. both of them Any ideas? thanks for the help

Reply: (edit)Well I found a tempory idea. I pluged the audio cable into the front output of the computer (for like headphones) and both do work.. so I'm figuring its a harware problem with the plug in on the back of the computer

Reply: (edit)some computers need jumpers set on the motherboard to tell the computer to use rear audio sockets or front audio sockets, is it that the jumpers are not configured correctly
