i have a problem....my mainboard(MSI G33M) supports hd audio and was bundled with realtek hd audio codec. But on installing it i get the message Hd audio driver failure. And i am unable to install normal non HD audio drivers as well because they give the message Device failure, reebot and try again. What could be the problem. Is my sound card defected.PLEASE HELP!

You must load the correct drivers for the sound chipset - the MSI site has the correct drivers in the software downloads for your specific model, but you if get drivers from elsewhere on the web they may not work properly.
MSI and other mboard makers often have the same models with either AC97 (or higher) codec sound or an optional better separate sound chip that also has AC97 support built in - the drivers for the one usually won't work for the other. Make sure you are getting the sound drivers for the correct model and mboard revision or version number or series, or if there are two sound downloads, you need to determine if you have the separate sound chip or not and download the correct drivers. It is usually a BAD idea for you to load drivers for the sound, or any device, when Windows finds the device while booting, looks for drivers and can't find them, and then wants you to point to a location where the drivers are. Cancel that and continue on to the desktop, then run the Install or Setup or self executing file for the audio drivers and associated programs.
If you have loaded the drivers the wrong way, or if the drivers you used were not the right ones, you should un-install any drivers and associated propgrams you find in Add/Remove Programs BEFORE you try installing the sound drivers again.
