After burning audio cd's with either plextor or easy cd creator 5 - and I play the cd (80 min 700 CDR) there is static *****ling noises on the burned cd - what can I do to prevent this?? I have lowered speeds down to 8x and it still does it - I have the master on the cd rom drive and the slave on the plextor and have tried 3 different cd rom drives - I have a Plextor 48/24/48a Plexwriter.
Please get back to me as soon as possible - thanks!!

First thing is go to Roxio.com and download the latest update for Easy CD Creator 5. Check to see what source of your audio. If you are burning audio CD's from mp3 files try making a duplicate of a store bought music CD. Try changing the DMA setting for the drive in the Windows Device Manager, and try downloading the latest ASPI driver files.

Sometimes if both the recorder and the source cdplayer are on the same ide chain you will get a poping and crackling noise. If you let nero or easy cd copy to the hard drive and then burn to the cd you should get a clean cd. I hope this helps. Good burning RSG
