Comment: I was trying hook up the audio cable for a new tv tuner card on my computer and discovered that the audio cable will not fit in the jack on the motherboard. The cable that came with the card is the same type that fits in a cdrom on both ends. This cable fits in the tv card ok, but the audio in on the MB is a little bit narrower and the slot appears to have a some kind of a slot that accepts a clip that helps secure it in place. Is there an adapter cable that would allow me to hook this up? The tuner card and the motherboard audio are both a 4 pin connection. Thanks

Reply: (edit)some of these audio cables have the black plug on one end and at the other end the cable splits in two and has a black plug and a white plug to take into account the different sockets found on the motherboards. You might be lucky and open eg. a friends computer case and find they have the double end type lead in there and if it using the black plug and not the white one you could swap leads with them.
