Just had my monitor cable replaced, and re-plugged it back into the same computer/graphics card (ATI Xpert 99, Rage 128 Chipset) and it hangs with "RAGE128 AGP VR 113-50 ..." It won't boot further until I remove the cable - it then restarts itself and works as normal. This happens everytime i reboot, or turn on.

Any help? Thanks.

(Pentium 500, Chaintech Motherboard, 128mb RAM, Newest ATI drivers, tried a different graphics card, so monitor works fine as normal.)

Check you monitor cable again. Different
display cards may read the non signal pins
differently. Sometimes the monitor returns
configuration data. You may have a short
between some of those pins.
