Solved ati vs nvidia

Specs: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit, 8Gb/quad3.2Ghz
Ok, the ati cards like the 5000-6000 series have over 2000 stream processors (or something), and the nvidia cards have from 200 to 500 stream processors, does that make the nvidia cards slower in dx10 and dx11 games? if so; why?
well as far i know, the more stream processors you have, the better, right? and since the geforce gtx 470 only have 448 CUDA cores, that makes it have 448 stream processors? right or wrong?
but is stream processor the same on ati and nvidia? I have a nvidia geforce gtx 470 and i want to know if i has more power than the specs really say it has!
but nvidia has one thing ati don't have, PHYSX, aka the capability to process particles :D
so my question is/was, does nvidia stream processors work the same as ati SP's or does is have more SP's than the specs say it has?

Both ati and nvidia use stream processors but i think there is a difference. 9800gt has 112 stream processors and hd 4650 has 320 but this doesn't mean 9800gt is slower than hd 4650(9800gt is faster). Stream processors alone doesn't make the v-card fast u have to look at other specs(gpu clock, memory clock, memory bus width, memory type) for e.g. Gddr is always faster than ddr, 256bit is better than 128bit etc.

yes wut kuwese said is 100 percent right i mean if u want to buy cloths u dont look at the writing on them only right?
same thing for the gfx cards shader cores dont make the card powerful alone
u need to see the bandwidth the ammount of texels and pixels per second memory interface (256-bit,128-bit) so on so on

ATI & NVIDIA do things differently so it's not a direct compariosn. Basically, ATI stream processors / 5 = nvidia stream pocessors.

So for example, if you have an ATI card with 320 stream processors, it's approx the same as an nvidia card with 64 stream processors. But you also need to compare the GPU core clocks, memory type (DDR2, DDR3, GDDR3, GDDR5, etc), memory buswidth (64-bit, 128-bit, 192-bit, 256-bit, etc) & memory clocks.
