Windows has identified my display adapter as an ATI VGA Wonder but I need a series/model number to identify the right driver on the ATI website. I am running a Dell XPS R450 with a D1226H monitor.
Can anyone help please?

Download the free version of Everest. This utility can tell you what video card you have and much more. Find Everest here: http://www.lavalys.com/

It would really help if you knew your system specs. I tried to help last time you posted & I supplied you with a link to the nVidia drivers that I thought you needed. Just so you know, here's what I based the driver choice on:
http://www.dell.com/content/topics/...
Notice that the graphics card used in the XPS R450 is said to be "STB nVidia ZX 8MB 3D AGP Graphics Card", but now you're saying it's an ATI VGA Wonder? Are you sure? Why don't you just open the case & have a look instead of guessing? The VGA Wonder is a very old card based on the ATI Mach8 GPU. AFAIK, no drivers are available for it at the ATI site anymore.
I suggest you either upgrade to a newer card that has driver readily available, or you upgrade the OS from Win95 to Win98 & hope that Win98 has native drivers for your old ATI card.
And I don't mean a 'new' card...I mean something like one of these:

http://www.pcpartsohio.com/BookDeta...
http://www.pcpartsohio.com/BookDeta...
BTW, did you try the Win95 CD to see if it has native driver support for that card? Do you know how?

I have recently inherited this PC and, not being technically proficient, am feeling my way around. I didn't guess that it's an ATI VGA Wonder, Windows searched for new hardware and this was it's deduction. I did open the case but there is nothing marked on the card. If ATI no longer provide drivers for this card then I will look at the other options you suggested. Thank you for your help.

If the card is indeed an ATI card ATI can still provide drivers for it. Try Everest, its freeware. Now to clarify something. ATI TV wonder is a TV tuner card, not a video card. TV tuner cards are used to view TV shows on your computer but aren't the primary video display hardware. A Dell computer most likely has onboard (built onto the Motherboard) video. Everest should be able to identify things for you. If no additional cards have been added to the Dell since it was shipped you can download ALL drivers from thier website by entering the numbers on the case. Go to Dell's site for further help.

"I did open the case but there is nothing marked on the card"
You may have to physically remove the card (one screw secures it in place) & look for the number on the main chip. I kinda doubt a card that old has a heatsink on it so the chip number *should* be visible.
Also, I *think* the VGA Wonder was an ISA card & it seems highly unlikely that a Pentium 2 system would have an ISA video card.
Another thing is that a P2 system wouldn't have come with Win95. Is it possible that whoever you "inherited" this PC from swapped parts, changed the operating system, etc?
The only way to be 100% certain of the video card would be to remove it & look at it...otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels.

Telephoned a mate who found he had an orginal ATI Windows 95 driver installation CD-ROM. All fixed now, thank you to everyone for their help.
