I need a Graphic Accelerator with overlay support. Can someone suggest a good card that is not too expensive as the computer I am using is rather old but runs good at present.

Guessing that you have no AGP I would suggest getting the FX5200. You can find them for way under 100 dollars on newegg.com It will do what you need.

I suggest that you just buy an ATI AIW (All in Wonder) card and forget the separate TV Tuner card. Look at this one: http://www.newegg.com/OldVersion/app/ViewProduct.asp?submit=property&DEPA=0
You will need a 4x AGP slot or better.

I have one of those cards. Pretty nice as those things go but I go along with othehill. That's a k6-2 350mhz system and most likely only has agp 2x. And with ISA slots it's got some age on it. Mine worked fine on my p3 600mhz but just barely. I teamed it up with a Nvidia MX400 4x vid card for an ok picture. Now it's sitting in my p4 2.4ghz with a MX 4000 8x vid card and works just fine. Put the money up you want to spend on this card toward another system that can handle this card.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...

If the board can only suppert AGP2x then I would agree with seti. If you have an interest in TV Tuner cards be aware there are basically two types of cards. Software and hardware solutions. With an older, slower computer you need the hardware type. The AIW cards are not just TV tuner cards but also allow capturing video/audio. You can record TV shows in MPEG2 or ATI propietory format. Using MPEG2 allows later viewing on just about any Windows machine. If you move into a new computer, consider an even better card than I Linked to above.

Thanks all:
I got the card when they had a promotion.
I'll just trash the wonder card.
Planning to build new computer anyway.

Thanks
