I recently upgraded my video card to an ATI Radeon X1300 Pro AGPX8 and a Cooler Master 430w psu. It worked great for about a week. I unhooked my computer and hooked one up from work to upgrade it (using my monitor, keyboard, etc.) and when I re-hooked up my computer, the video kept turning on and off continuously. I don’t loose my signal and it only happens after WinXP loads. I use an LCD monitor with a DVI cable. If I uninstall the video drivers it works fine with low res. I went to the ATI site and downloaded “drivers only” and still does the same thing. I did uninstall all the old drivers and Catalyst software. Like I said, it ran great until I hooked the computer from work and re-hooked mine up.

The resolution settings might have been changed to something that DVI can't handle. Had a similar problem before. Switched to VGA and it went away. I suggest doing that if at least just to adjust the settings.

I'm at work right now, but will give that a try when I get home.

Thanks for the input.

I realize that but I bet he paid a good buck for the X1300Pro AGP, especially if it was purchased at a retail store. The X1650Pro AGP, which is a much better card, can be found for about $50 online.

I hate to say this because I know how you guys feel about this place, but I purchased on ebay for $26.00. I'm not much of a gamer, just wanted a decent card.

Kreeos - I haven't had a chance to try your suggestion yet do to a tornado. I'm in the middle of clean up. Gotta love Missouri.

Since it's a week later, I don't know if anyone will see this, but Kreeos suggestion worked. Once I went from my dvi cable back to vga it fired right up.

Thanks!!!
