Please help, possibly this is a virus or a game or old bios BUt my AMD atlhon XP 1.8ghz (XP2200)processor is now being read by the PC as a 1.45ghz AMD duron(tm) even on staturp and when I right click on My Computer properties I have the pc for almost 2 years not problem just can't understand. ยจ I went into the bios and it says athlon XP chip but the frequencies were 100mhz, so I reset them to their normal values of 133mhz restarted and still being read as Duron(tm) Motherboard- ECS-K7SF5A bios AMI

What happened to cause the FSB to reset? Did you change any settings? Remove the battery for some reason? It could be that your battery is weak & isn't holding the settings, but I don't think that explains an XP recognized as a Duron.
Also, you say the speed was 1.45GHz...the default multiplier for a 2200+ is 13.5x, so with 100mhz FSB, the speed would be 1.35Ghz, not 1.45...unless that was just a typo?
I'd check the CMOS battery & you may wanna look into updating your BIOS:

Hi,
Perhaps in the 'advanced' section in bios, somehow the level2 cache has become disabled. I would search there.
