I'm going to be getting aan XP 2800+ processor, I'm still not sure of what Heatsink/Fan to get. I've looked at a few, and I really don't know which would be better. I am considering the Vocalno 9, the Aero 7, and the Heatpipe. I'm not sure which would be better for this cpu, or if there was a better one out there. I'm probably going with artic silver III paste as well. Is there any suggestions on which fan I should get? Thanks

The Aero 7+ is keeping my Athlon 3200+ at below 50C (averages around 47C).
Under more pressure (i.e. graphics work and the latest games, it still only rises to around 52C.
This chip produces a lot of heat, so the cooler is doing well.

or you could try the slk 800 or 900 in most reviews they are rated the best of the best. I have the slk 800 and am running my xp 2500 any where from 38c to 43c full load. one of the only drawbacks if you could call it that is that you have to buy a fan (60,70 or 80 mm fan)

if your comp only takes the clip insertion then the 800a is the one for you.

you won't beat an slk800/900. The sk7 is very close though. svc.com sells all three at a good price.

The thermaltake smartfan II is a good fan since you can dial into the speed/loudness you want. Or just go middle of the road and get a 28-34cfm 80mm fan.

No matter what, get a cooler with an 80mm fan. The loudness per cfm ratio is way better than 60mm or 70mm fans.

The coolermaster xdream is easily the cheapest among good-performing coolers. It has a copper core and an adjustable fan. $10 at Fry's electronics.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I'm going to be heading to the store tomorrow, if they have the Aero 7+, I might just grab it, if not, I'll probably go for an SLK Sink and slap on an 80mm fan. Thanks again
