Im installing a new heatsink/fan as i write, and im confused on what side the screwdriver clip that you attach to the socket goes. Here is the link with my mobo, and is the proper way to install the screwdriver clip side facing the ram slots in the pic?or does it face the orange and purple ports at the top of the pic?

If you look carefully at the HS you will see the bottom isn't completely flat. The step up on one side mates with the side of the socket with the lever. The screwdriver clip goes toward the power connector. If you install backwards the HS won't set flat, it will set up on that socket boss.
