I have an Asus TUA266.. And I had the same crappy issues with it not working well as others on this forum have noted..

My dealer said they changed the DDR voltage jumper to make it more stable, and while it was "more" stable it wasn't ready to become my main MB. I left it running WinME for about a month and it seemed to "burn in" and became 98% stable when used for non-graphics.. I just recently was gifted a 1.3Ghz P3 Tulatin and I decided to try the mb again.. The AGP is so broken I had to fiddle around in safe mode to get the latest drivers installed regardless of what video card I tried. With the stock drivers WinME gets a "System Protection Error" at boot. After getting the latest drivers installed I could play some games, but anything that uses Hardware T&L would crash because the GPU requires a DMA that conflicts with MB resources. So I turned off secondary IDE, all USB, all serial and parallel ports, and the onboard audio. That got my system stable enough to run most 3d games that use T&L, but when the games try to use the pixel shader on my video card I get a lockup. To fix the lockup I went into the chipset section of the bios and disable "Optimize Performance" in the AGP section. That knocks a solid %30 off the performance but results in a completely stable system. So now I can play 3d Games, but they are too slow to be playable.

I've done alot of digging on the web, and I have found a few reports of simular issues, and I have found some benchmarks which suggest some people have got their TUA266's to work properly..

I'll keep digging, but I think we need to all get together and share tips.. or atleast file a lawsuit against Asus for not recalling their crappy MB..

Oh.. and I'm on day #2 of waiting for a reply from Asus tech support.. We'll see if they ever respond.
