Hi to all. A simple question. In my Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus ram apears as follow: 4096 Ram Detected (4095 Usable)! Can anyone explain why BIOS is reserving 1MB of RAM?

Some bioses report the full total amount of ram. Some bioses subtract 1mb for conventional memory, since that amount in any case is not available as free ram for use by your programs or by Windows programs. If the mboard also has onboard video, the amount of ram shared with the onboard video is usually subtracted, since it is not available for use by your programs or by Windows.
