Comment: I am having a serious problem with new built machine. I have a Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe MB 512 MB of RAM 2700. Athlon XP 1700+, CDROM, 250 mb maxtor ata/133 HD. Well I installed a complete upgrade except for the CPU and power supply. I am recieving a post that the system was not correctly shut down and now working in safe mode speed. press DEL to return to Bios to set correct CPU speed. I have my bios set at 133x11 auto as recommended by the tech at comp usa, I changed it a few times to 133x10 and so on...no dice. my system also wont reboot it shuts down but will not restart. Please help me

Reply: (edit)Do you have a Palomino or a Tbred? Chances are, the multiplier is locked, so changing it will have no effect. The correct setting is 11 x 133. Did you check the FSB jumper?
