asus crosshair III compatability?

Asus Crosshair iii formula motherboard
February 12, 2011 at 13:39:12
Specs: win 7 64-bit, 6core AMD / 8mb

having problems with the software from the Mainboard disk - Seems Probe is inaccurate, EPU is suppose to do 64-bit but apparently it does not, or it's buggy software. Same details for TurbV. These programs are listed as compatible w/ 64-bit systems, so something must be wrong here.
I also received the following message: "Assertion failed: is supported c:\documents and settings\administrator\my documents\projects\EPU for AMD\EPU\powergear.cpp
line 378"

I noticed that the EPU window comes up, but does not respond in any way, looking like it is frozen.

I believe the programs need to be replaced w/ latest versions, but I cannot find the page, so, I cannot download the new versions. Can I get help please.

ps: how is it Asus makes great mainboards & video cards? but releases crummy software?
Or am I mistaken and have software that is incompatible w/ the mainboard or the OS [win7 64-bit] which I think is the likely cause, but Asus makes it hard to find the newest versions.
Thx much for any help here

I don't know why EPU is even necessary as long as you have Cool 'n' Quiet enabled.

As for finding the other Asus software, I had absolutely no problem finding the latest versions of Probe & TurboV. All you need to do is select your motherboard info, select Win7 64-bit, then click Utilities:
