Hi,
I want to upgrade my PC from Pentium 3 at 800GHZ to a Pentium 4 at 3.0 GHz.
Is this solution right?
ASUS p4c800 deluxe (new intel chipset) Intel Pentium 4 at 3 GHz (800 FSB)
What kind of memory should i need if i want 1GB of RAM?

Get unbuffered,DDR400 memory. This new motherboard uses Dual DDR channel technology. So if you want to take advantage of this , you will need to install 2 modules at a time. Also, the CPU will have Hyper-threading capabilities. To take full advantage of this ability, you will need to use WinXP as your OS. WinXP (with Hyper-threading enabled in OS and in the BIOS) will see your processor and 2 cpu's. Very slick!

It's quite a MB. i didn't look through all the review but from the review here
4x 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM Supports up to 4GB of unbuffered and non-registered single/double-sided DDR266/333/400 SDRAM memory Supports 2.5V DDR SDRAM Supports ECC type DRAM integrity mode Supports dual channel DDR400 / DDR333 / DDR266 memory configuration
check to see if they suggest particular brands of memory.
