Comment:
Just got an Asus A7N8X-Delux (PCB version 2.0, Bios Rev 1004).
My Athlon 2000 works great in it but only gets detected as a 1250MHz (I believe it's supposed to be 1.67GHz). The Athlon XP 2600+ does not work at all in it. It seems to be booting normally but I get no video at all.
A confirmation that it's booting normally (or at least POSTing) is when I pop the 2000 back in I get alerted that the CPU has changed.
The only jumpers on this board that are relavent to the cpu/bus is a jumper that toggles between an autosensing 400/333/266 or strict 200Mhz only. This issue happens regardless of how this is jumpered.
Any ideas?
ps. yes, I have the latest bios rev and the xp 2600+ is supported under that bios rev.

set fsb in the bios to 133, or jumpers to 266

Just a note to remember, the A7N8X doesn't like changes, pop the new cpu in, if it fails to start, reset the cmos and try again. Also, ensure that the cpu cooler is installed correctly.
