Have you configured the BIOS settings yet? I see you have a 266FSB CPU with PC3200 RAM. Make sure your set the RAM to run as PC2100/DDR266 to match the CPU bus. And there's probably several other settings that need to be tweaked as well. For example, if you're not running RAID, disable it.
If the problems continue, you may wanna try updating the BIOS. Actually, I just had a look at the ASRock site & here's what the latest BIOS fixes:
"Modify MAC address function algorithm"
So it does appear a BIOS update will be necessary.

Set up the bios with cpu and memory speeds synchronised, SATA and raid disabled as I am running all IDE devices. I was thinking about flashing the bios, hope its not too difficult. Shaun

You must go into the bios Setup and load Bios Defaults, save settings, in order to clear the cmos contents of the old bios version's version of the cmos settings.

I assume the mac address is for the onboard onboard ethernet/LAN adapter. Have you tried disabling that in the bios Setup? If that gets rid of the error, wired PCI 10/100mbps network cards are cheap, if you need one, and are plenty fast enough for the internet (10mbps is fast enough for the internet).

Yes I have tried that and no it does not get rid of the error, guess I will have to return the MB for a replacement Shaun
Summary: I had a K7N2 Delta-ILSR for a while. It was a fun but quirky board, and I ended up buying an NF7-S v2 to replace it. Anyway, you're going to destroy your data if you try to setup a new striping array...
Summary: I have an old KR7a Raid motherboard with a highpoint 370/372 controller that failed on me. I upgraded to a newer motherboard (ABIT M2V-MX-SE). Actually the hard drive with the OS failed and reinstal...
