Sorry, your VGA is an analog signal and your HDMI is a digital signal, so there is no easy way that you could use to get HDMI out from your netbook. You could buy a $150 adapter to make it work, but I wouldn't

Most televisions do have a VGA input, you would have to use that and a audio cable from your headphone jack on your netbook.
