Buy it from Acer is the only way to be sure about that. Almost all the third-party suppliers sell only copies which are generally cheaper because they are not made to the same quality standards. That means they are far more likely to fail, have a short life, or even in some cases damage your laptop.

Some laptops also refuse to recognise batteries which are not genuine replacements from the laptop maker.

If you visit the appropriate Acer website for your country, there should be a link to order new batteries and power adapters.

Hi Chuanchuan,

here in the UK, oem batteries are considerably less than those from the laptop maker.

l have never had a problem with using oem ones (even with an Acer laptop).

I make sure I buy the correct ones by matching against the part number(s) on the original battery. Also I select ones with the same number of cells, but higher wattage and a guarantee, which are not necessarly the cheapest.

Compare those from both Ebay and Amazon. A problem with Amazon is, it appears impossible communicating with the seller if needed, prior to purchase.

As a matter of interest, where are you located? I am in Hammersmith, West London.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
