syndoc66 July 12, 2010 at 10:40:00 Specs: Windows 7 Pro, AMD Athlon 64 3500/ 2GB DDR2 400Mhz
I have installed Windows 7 Pro on my existing computer, only to find that the mobo manufacturer does not support Windows 7. Is there a work around? Did I just waste my time and money by installing Windows 7 and not insuring the Mobo was compatable? The computer has the following hardware installed: ABit AV8 939 Socket Mobo w VIAK8T AMD Athlon 64 3500 CPU 2GB Corsair (512MB x 4) DDR2 400Mhz RAM LiteOn DVDRW-LH20A1P ATA Device
ABIT went out of business over a year ago so it stands to reason they wouldn't have any Win7 drivers listed at their website, especially for an outdated S939 board. It's a VIA based board so the VIA website is where you should look for the drivers.
