If you could offer any advice with my problem I would be most appreciative. My problem is that the board will not post. All fans and LEDs turn on but there is no video. If I remove the video card, it beeps but it isn't very useful without video. The card I have is an ago ATi rage pro 128 (not agp pro). Since it didn't work I swapped it with a pci voodoo 3 3000 but that didn't work either. Both cards work in another computer. I tried a different psu from a working computer, no change. I swapped ram (pc133 unbuffered) no change. All the time, there were no pci cards or ide devices plugged in. Just for the record, I am well experienced with building computers, I have built several that operate quite well, and I believe I have done everything I could short of buying new cpu's. I have 2x p3 733, I tried booting with only one processor, I swapped the two to see if one was bad. (in the 1st cpu's socket). If both cpu's are bad I would never know, but I think that is unlikely first because I don’t believe both cpu's would fail and second because they never got above 100 degrees F in my previous board. I bought this board to replace my previous board which I thought died. It was exhibiting similar behavior to this board but I can't figure out which component is faulty.

even though it has the 24 pin atx connector, you can use a standard 20 pin psu if you don't have an agp pro card, also the aux/agp connecter is only used with agp pro.

any ideas on how to tell if the cpu(s) are dead short of having another mobo and cpu?

thanks

Hey tim, nice to see you. I've seen you on the seti@home message boards a few time.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS if the FSB is adjustable through the BIOS or setting the FSB jumper to 100 MHz if your board uses one? I doubt it will make a differnce but its worth a try?

Apart from that you've done the other things I would have suggested, although the motherboard could just as likely have stopped working as it seems a bit of a coinsidence that two working CPU's would stop at the same time.

Do you have another socket 370 CPU that you could try in the board?

Could a dodgy PSU be killing off the boards perhaps?
