APC kvm monitor flickering

Specs: N/A
I have two APC 5607 KVM switch and KVM tray's installed in separate racks in separate rooms. Both are plugged int 208V power coming into the rack PDU off of a SURT6000 UPS. When I connect the VGA/USB dongle to the KVM switch, the KVM screen flashes/flickers between the KVM switch video and the internal menu display, rendering the KVM useless as if flashes back and forth and nothing can be configured or viewed. When I connect the KVM switch to a stand alone Keyboard, Monitor and mouse, the video is perfect and the keyboard and mouse work fine. When I connect my laptop to the VGA port on the KVM tray, the video from my laptop displays on the KVM tray LCD monitor just fine. ONLY when I connect the KVM switch to the KVM tray does the video flash back and forth. Also, this is happening on both sets of equipment installed in separate racks in separate rooms. I have tried multiple cables and the problem still exists. I am at wits end as to what he problem is...APC has been no help. Please help!!

Only usb keyboards and mice can be connected hot. I know everyone does it with ps/2 but they don't know any better. Try it with all power off.

The switching may also be you hit the scan feature. Usually some keyboard key combo or a kvm key combo starts and stops that.
