Specs: windows 2000
I have a beetle m. p.o.s ( point of sale)pc which was running win nt, at present i am trying to get it to boot on win 2k .Having installed the OS on another pc as i was getting blue 7b error on the beetle. i have installed the drive into the beetle, but it runs through the post ok and loads the 2k as far as the end of the first progress bar when it promptly switches off & restarts. The drive boots normally in another pc, I have flashed the bios with updates, i,ve also done a memory check and all is ok. I've even gone as far as to strip the beetle down to bare essentials to boot , but to no avail .
Is there anyone who knows these systems as i am fast getting to the stage of the bin looking inviting.

You can't just remove a bootable OS drive from one computer, put it in another and expect it to work. At a minimum, you should run a Windows Repair on the drive after physically connecting it to the new machine.

so is it possible to put a diffrent OS on the oem drive in a different pc and re-install it back into the P.O.S pc. and get it to boot . or do i have to format the oem drive(only possible via another pc)re-install the OS i want and then put it back into the P.O.S. The problem being i can only connect a cd drive via usb on the pos system.
