Solved Any way to revive old Compaq computer with broken VGA port

Specs: Windows XP
I have an old Compaq Presario computer. Unfortunately, while taking it apart, the VGA port was ripped out. I have some information on there that I would like to access. Is there any way I can get inside my computer without replacing the VGA card/port...??? If I needed to replace the VGA, where would I get one???

If the motherboard is OK besides the VGA port then adding a video card should work. Any old PCI card should work. XP will install a generic driver on its own that will allow you to see its desktop OK.

Another option is to remove the hard drive and attach it as a secondary or slave drive in another working computer or fit it in a USB external case and attach it to another computer that way. The presario drive would show up in 'my computer' on that computer and you could access its files that way.

Another way would be to locate another Presario of the same model (or the motherboard from one) and swap in the drive. The drive should boot fine in the second presario as long as it's the same model.
