hi all, havnt posted in a while sorry, any way i have started a new site called moddersplayground and was wondering if anyone was interested in becoming one of the staff there, writing articles tutorials etc.
you would be given an email and a ftp account a preview of the site can be seen here www.moddersplayground.tk
You do need to finish the site and get some pages up for us to see.
Fix the spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Your review is not a review, just a rant.
Case mods and reviews need photos to guide the reader. Don't assume the reader even knows what a Dremel is, much less how to use one.
Keep your thoughts in some sort of logical order without running them together.
If you're going to do the read more thing, put it all on one opening page. There are thousands of sites that review hardware and software and hundreds of RSS feeds to keep you current with the latest releases, gear, and news.
Staff can't do reviews without software or hardware. Contact manufacturers to get the gear sent to you or your staff and don't drag your feet getting the review published. Also, make sure the review is painfully honest...many reviewers kiss the manufacturers ass because they're getting free stuff.
thanks for the opinions guys, that article wasnt written by me but by one of the staff, also how do i go about asking for items to review who do you suggest i start with
Try contacting manufacturers of lower dollar stuff like heatsinks or other accessories first. You can also review some of the gear you've bought recently. If you're happy with your motherboard, write it up. If you're unhappy with the speakers you just bought, tell everyone why you're unhappy. Just make sure you know what you're talking about. As an example, I read a glowing review of the case I own. The reviewer just loved everything about it but failed to mention the psu was junk and that you can not get cool air into the case nor get warm air out of the case. IMO that would make the case a poor deal at any price.
Sooner or later, the reviews you publish will catch someones eye, they'll link to you, and you may be solicited to write more reviews or articles.
Remember, it makes no difference who writes an article for your site...you need to be able to edit that article for grammar and spelling or just reject it until the author gets it right.
Your getting the hang of it.Keep it up and keep advertising your website.Dont let crittic's discourage you either.I gotta say you got more ball's than alot of other people do at least your trying.
There are some extremely smart people hear that I know could write review's and make money from it.Dont know why they dont?Part of my learning computers came from people at this site and reviews.
skipcox,johnoh,jam,zerocool,un3real just to name a few. These dudes got me thru some troubeled times with my comp.before.
