Monitor shows "no signal" ...as though the pc is turned off but the box was still on. Rebooted...all was fine. A few minutes later it went back to the "no signal". Rebooted and the mouse froze. Rebooted again and all was fine. Again a few minutes later it did it again, and Ctrl-Alt-Del brought the screen back. So far so good....but does anyone have an idea as to what might cause this?
Thanks
Gary

Hi
Try re seating your graphics card, it may have become loose & check your montor connections.

Under control panel check your settings for pc power management / hard drive etc are not set to anything daft like "turn off monitor after 1 min".
maybe some ones having a laugh.

:)

Thanks for replying. I'll try reseating the card when I get home from work. I had already checked the power management options as you mentioned.
Thx again.

As said above, either your graphics card or your memory is going dodgy.
