|My 10 month old Acer Aspire desktop suddenly crashed. I took it to a computer repair guy and he said that the hard drive had failed. So, I called Acer because it was still under warranty. They sent out a new hard drive, which I installed and I was back up and running. This new hard drive worked for about 3 months then the same problem happened again. So, this time when I called Acer they said that I had to send in the whole unit, which I did. This time they said that they had to replace the motherboard, which they did. This time the hard drive was not replaced.|
I was wondering if anyone has an idea what would have caused this to happen? and if it was actually an hard drive failure in the first place? or does motherboard failure cause hard drive failure? I am just trying to make sense of this!!
Thanks for your input!!
