That defeats my purpose of asking my question. If I new which ones were good,or bad, then I would not of come here to ask people with knowledge in that expertise.

I know that there is sony, toshiba, dell, panasonic, ibm, and probalby alot more, but I do not know which ones are recommended, and which ones are not.

Thanks wally,and gx1.

From personal experience, a Dell or Panasonic Toughbook. My favorite two laptops are both Itronix machines...one a 486SX50 and the other a P133.
But, to get back to the real world, my PIII750 Toughbook is a swell machine for $253 on my doorstep.

You got the response I gave you because honestly your post was a little condescending, it was like you instructing you PA to go write you an essay or a buyer's guide because you are looking to purchase a used notebook.

Secondly you should have included a budget range in addition to the other parameter you listed. It will help people give you more informed and helpful responses than you otherwise might get.
