I would imagine the price of what you want to do is very high ? I have a suggestion that may work .I have an anti-glare screen that attaches to my CRT . The one I have is a cheap one from a company called ALLSOP. Places like Office Depot and Best Buy have them .Iam just not sure if they come in the size you monitor is ,my CRT is 17" . If you find one that fits , it would probably cover up that scratch or at least make it very hard to notice ! Good Luck Nick

thanks very much for your help, my new plan is this.
I bought this for £180, it retails at about £490+ i think, im gonna sell it in my local paper for about £300 (people sell stuff in this paper for riduclous prices, last week i sold an extremely old mac for £400) then buy the same monitor again off the same guy making sure the screen is nice and clean prob for about £200. wish me luck again :D

My laptop screen had nail polish spilled on it (don't ask) and I had to remove it with a razor blade. I then polished the scratches out with a pexiglass polish. It's available at your local bike shop for cleaning motorcycle helmet lens'.

so you reckon if i get some of thet i can go over the scrath with it and it should make it less noticeable?
makes sense, because the only bit that draws my attention to it is the brightness showing through where the anti glare stuff has come off.
