Ever since I installed new memory in my system, (2 sticks of 512MB PC2100) I've been getting physical memory dump bluescreens every week. What exactly is causing this? Since they're 2 sticks in pairs, is it overheating or something? Or have I not configured something properly when I installed it? Or is it just faulty RAM? Please, help me, as this is annoying! Thanks

It may not be faulty RAM, just not compatible. Most mobo's are pretty specific on the quality of memory you use. If you go with Crucial you can't go wrong. At least, use their configurator to find the right kind.

If your system has 3 memory slots, put the memory in the 1 st and 3rd slots. Something to try.

Thanks for the link, johnoh. I'll download the program. PC Bob, the memory is compatible with my mobo. I got 512MB PC2100 266MHz Non ECC DDR RAM, CAS 2.5, and it clearly says in my manual that it supports that. I Help you, my Dell's mobo has 2 slots, so that's not the problem. Thanks everyone for posting solutions.
