Specs: Windows XP

My computer monitor got wet. I works perfectly but it has dripping streaks of purple, green and blue colors. Not many but some block my clock and some of the small icons. How can I clean it?

Are you replying to try to help? I am a bit puzzled by the comment.

I would say to stop using it and let it air dry. Evidently you have water inside and it has run down by gravity.

The poster above has provided a couple of link on how to clean your display. Not sure those are helpful because they are referring to the outside of the screen.

Can't stop using it. I work daily on the computer for long hours. I need to find out if there is a way to clean it.
Thanks,
Karol

Windex and a paper towel.

If moisture had gotten behind the plastic on an LCD screen it would have shorted out long before it ever got "inside" the LCD. Mostly likely just streaks on the outside of the monitor.

If outlander is correct then look at the two links in the response by Night. The links are the words Site and Google. Just click on them to go there.

I don't know why water on the outside would result in colored streaks, however.

I was making a play-on-words and trying to help.

Someone deducted a point without noticing that..
